I got fired and now credit card debt is quickly bankrupting me

My everyday living has spiraled virtually out of control all stemming from horrible money issues.  For me it all started when I lost my job this was something that I honestly didn’t foresee this occurring and well of course it did.  Needless to say losing a job isn’t good for anyone but I haven’t yet picked myself up and located another job yet.  This immediately made me comprehend just how far gone another financial problem I have is.  This problem is credit card debt.  My debt bills are extremely large and without money coming in I cannot pay them and will obviously begin to fall pastdue on the monthly payments.

We have been looking for a credit card debt relief program that will help me out while I am still trying to find a new job.  Many financial experts have been claiming that credit card debt settlement is a good program that will be for someone in my kind of situation.  The goal in mind of this process is for the client to save capital and quickly get out of debt.  This seems precisely like what I may be doing.

It looks like debt settlement is really the only viable plan for us because a a bankruptcy proceeding would require me giving up my house and a CCCS plan is something I can’t pay for.  I have spoken about this plan with my partner and she thinks that debt settlement would be a beneficial idea for us too.  Once we get rid of debt then we plan on becoming much more responsible with our income and never get wedged in this horrible trap ever again.
